Privacy policy
Last updated July 2026
This policy explains what we do with the information you send us through this website. We keep it simple, because our use of your information is simple: we use it to answer your enquiry and quote for the work you have asked about, and nothing else.
Who we are
This website is operated by Scan Surveys, a Guardian Management Group company. We are the data controller for the information you send us here. You can reach us at:
- Scan Surveys, 20 Wenlock Road, London N1 7GU
- Email [email protected]
- Phone +44 (0) 203 051 5247
What we collect
When you complete a request form on this site, we collect the details you choose to give us:
- Your name
- Your phone number
- Your email address, if you provide one (it is optional)
- Any brief or job details you type into the message field, if you provide them (also optional)
We do not ask for any special category or sensitive information, and you should not send any through the form.
Why we collect it, and our lawful basis
We use these details only to respond to your enquiry and to provide a quote for the survey or testing work you have asked about. Our lawful basis under UK GDPR is legitimate interest: our interest, and yours, in responding to a business enquiry you have chosen to make.
How your enquiry reaches us
The form is delivered by Web3Forms, a form-handling service that acts as our processor. When you submit the form, Web3Forms passes your details to our inbox so our team can reply. We do not store your enquiry anywhere else on this website.
What we do not do
- We do not add you to any marketing list.
- We do not sell or rent your information to anyone.
- We do not use your details for anything beyond handling your enquiry and any resulting work.
How long we keep it
We keep your enquiry only for as long as we need it to handle your request and any work that follows from it. Once it is no longer needed, we delete it.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have it corrected if it is wrong, and to have it erased. To exercise any of these rights, email us at [email protected] and we will help. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you are unhappy with how we have handled your information.
Cookies
We do not set any cookies on this website.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
